Bananaman is a superhero from the British comic Dandy. When Eric Wimp, an ordinary schoolboy living at 29 Acacia Road, Nuttytown, eats a banana, he transforms into the amazing Bananaman! And, of course, fights crime. His powers include flight, nigh-invulnerability, and the strength of twenty men... twenty big men!
Americans might better remember the animated series based on the comics that briefly aired on Nickelodeon in the late 1980s.
