Christopher Lee was a Shakespearean actor mad famous for his role as Saruman in Lord of the Rings, though this is but one of his many memorable roles. Among them were Francisco Scaramanga from The Man With the Golden Gun and Count Dooku from Star Wars, to name a few. Most of the time, due to his signature booming voice and sinister facial features, he is typecast as a villain. He often played a bad guy opposite fellow Star Wars actor Peter Cushing. Until his death in 2015, aged 93, he remained an active figure in the entertainment world. In his later years, he did a good deal of work with director Tim Burton. He also played a prominent role in big-budget videogame Kingdom Hearts 2 as the mysterious DiZ.
