Gerald Ford was a former US President. Appointed as vice president by a Watergate-mired Richard Nixon following Spiro Agnew's resignation, he soon ascended to the presidency following Nixon's own resignation. Likable guy, but a bit klutzy. Attempted to win a term in his own right, and though he kept it closer than expected given his controversial pardon of Nixon, he lost to Jimmy Carter. He sang alongside the other then-living presidents when Ronald Reagan died in Tribute to Ronald Reagan.
