Ebichu is the title character in the mini-anime series ''Oruchuban Ebichu''. She is a temperamental hamster who lives in an apartment with her nameless owner. She keeps things neat and tidy while her owner is at work. However, she has a big mouth and a weakness for ice cream and Camembert cheese, which often get her into trouble. Since she gets more attention from men than her owner, Ebichu is often the victim of brutal (yet comical) beatings.
