His trademark is his tendency to come up with long, drawn-out plans to make money, which neither work nor make any sense. His roommates, Frylock and Meatwad, don't seem to "like" him as much as they "tolerate" him. The Aqua Teens' neighbour, Carl, is ''particularly'' hostile toward Shake, since most of his plans end up destroying Carl's stuff or violently dismembering Carl himself. Like Kenny of South Park fame, he has the amazing ability ro return unscathed from even the most gruesome death. Also, most of the objects he throws on the floor tend to explode in a firey blast, although other characters can also do this.
