In the manga/anime Mermaid Melody: Pichi Pichi Pitch, Rina is the princess of the North Pacific Ocean and keeper of the Green Pearl Tear. Using the transformation call "Green Pearl Voice!" she transforms into an idol version of herself. Her character songs are as follows:
- Star Jewel
- Piece of Love
The origin/meaning of Rina's given name is unknown to most fans, and it is sometimes misspelled "Lina" for unclear reasons. Rina's land surname is Touin.
