In the anime Fushigiboshi no Futagohime (ふしぎ星の☆ふたご姫), Bright (ブライト) is the crown prince of the Jewelry Kingdom (宝石の国, literally "jewel Kingdom", referred to by fans as the Jewelry Kingdom due to a trademark discrepancy) inside the Mysterious Planet and elder brother of Altessa. He is a planet-wide heartthrob not only because of his good looks and bloodline, but because he is very calm, courteous and intelligent (yet somewhat impetuous and gullible). In episode 26 of the first series, he is seduced by Boomo, an accomplice of Chancellor Roman, and decides to become supreme ruler of the entire Mysterious Planet.
