Charles Manson was a murderer from the 1970's. He also believed he was Jesus reincarnate, and surprisingly got a large number of followers. He demanded virginal sacrifices, and was responsible for the murder of actress Sharon Tate.
He was arrested in 1969, but tests in 2000 revealed he had mental illness.
He was sentenced to death in 1971, which was later commuted to a life sentence the next year, and Manson has repeatedly been denied parole.
Manson died in a California hospital on November 19, 2017. He was 83 years old.
