The most heavily used animation of Pee-Wee (as present in Hyakugojyuuichi) is taken from an episode of Pee-Wee's Playhouse in which Pee-Wee is leaning towards the screen of the "Video Phone" booth whilst talking to three mysterious hippie-children and saying "and YOU'RE invited!". The episode in question is #13, "Party!".
Pee-Wee Herman is played by comedian Paul Reubens. He played various characters in his earlier day, but odd man-child Pee-Wee Herman becam his most beloved character. Pee-Wee was the star of groundbreaking children's show Pee-Wee's Playhouse, which was made with a budget comparable to a prime-time sitcom. He also starred in multiple Pee-Wee movies, and was The Penguin's father in Batman Returns.
Paul Reubens' fall from grace occurred when he was discovered masturbating at an adult movie theatre by a police sting. He then gave up the role of Pee-Wee, his final appearance being at an MTV awards show. Paul Reuben stayed rather low-key, making appearances in children's films like Matilda and Dunston Checks In as various characters. In 2006 Paul Reubens announced he was willing to be Pee-Wee again.
