Charizard is a Fire-type Pokemon that resembles an orange dragon. The game mascot of Pokemon Red (and its remake Fire Red), it is arguably the archetypal "cool" Pokemon, with wild popularity among fans and a frequent focus in merchandise. A disobedient Charizard was one of Ash Ketchum's most powerful Pokemon in the early seasons of the anime.
