Over the hills and far away, Teletubbies come to play!
The Teletubbies are these four space toddlers from the PBS kids' show of the same name, with colorful felt bodies, antennae coming out of their heads, and television screens in their abdomens. Their names, for anyone curious, are Dipsy(the green one), Po(the red one), Laa Laa(the yellow one), and Tinky Winky(the purple one). They basically run around doing silly things, and watching pointless little video clips... over and over and over and over again. They are awake when the baby sun[which is possibly parodied by the Colin Mochrie sun debuting in Hyakugojyuuichi] is up, but it's "Time for Tubby bye bye" when the baby sun goes down.
It made headlines when conservative preacher Jerry Falwell accused Tinky Winky of being a homosexual, based on the fact he was purple, had a triangular antenna, and carried a purse around.
