Sanchez's head is actually a debatably racist caricature of a Mexican that was printed in a newspaper called OCWeekly. Fitted onto a stick figure's body, Afrofurby's best friend Sanchez comes to life.
In his debut cartoon, Sanchez gets killed by Philip J. Fry. His friend, Afrofurby, decides to take revenge for Sanchez's death.
It's very likely that the author will feature Sanchez in future "Fire Fry" animutations.
