Ebichu is the title character in the mini-anime series Oruchuban Ebichu which was run as part of the Anime Ai no Awa Awa Hour (Anime Love's Bubbly Hour) on a DirecTV Japan subscription-only channel. She is a temperamental hamster who lives in an apartment with her nameless owner. She keeps things neat and tidy while her owner is at work. However, she has a big mouth (in combination with a 3-gram brain, which is a recurring gag in the series) and a weakness for ice cream and Camembert cheese, which often get her into trouble.
