Kasumi is one of the protagonists in Koei Tecmo's Dead or Alive fighting game series. She served as the lead character of the franchise since its premiere in 1996. She has also become a symbol of the DOA franchise, and is the personal favorite of series creator Tomonobu Itagaki. She has many clones, including Alpha-152, Phase-4, and Kasumi Alpha. She has also made appearances in other games, such as Monster Rancher 2, Ninja Gaiden 3, and Warriors All-Stars.
