Jim the Wonder Dog was born in March 10, 1925, the pet of Samuel VanArsdale. Jim was allegedly able to identify the colors a person was wearing, identify a car by owner, color, make, or license plate, identifying various trees and shrubs, identifying the name of a business, identifying the job or home of a stranger, picking the winner of the 1936 World Series, predicting Franklin D. Roosevelt's reelection in 1936, picking the winner of the Kentucky Derby, and identifying the gender of unborn infants. Examinations by veterinarians and scientists showed nothing. Jim the Wonder Dog died on March 18, 1937.
