Professor Oak, known as Professor Okido (オーキド博士) in Japan, is one of the main characters in the Pokémon series. He sends Ash Ketchum and his boisterous grandson Gary Oak on a mission to collect data on all the Pokémon in the world. He gives Gary an Eevee and Ash a Pikachu.
