Isabelle is a yellow dog who has been a prominent character in the Animal Crossing video game franchise since her debut in 2012's New Leaf. In her first appearance, she is the mayor's eager-yet-klutzy secretary and guides them through the basics of running a town. Despite her lateness to the franchise compared to characters like Tom Nook, her prominence in New Leaf and appealing design and personality have made her the de facto mascot of Animal Crossing.
