Anybody know where to find a SWF of this? I have dialup, and YouTube files are bloated as hell. --Indogutsu 09:52, 4 June 2006 (PDT)

  • This author appears to release only on YouTube, and I agree, the files are way bloated... dunno if he even uses Flash to make these actually... I'd ask him but I'd have to get a Youtube account, bleh --Mudi 15:43, 4 June 2006 (PDT)
  • RAMChYLD here. Yes, I used Flash to make the movie (actually, Flash 5). I still have the original flash, but at 7MB, it's just as bloated. The original project file clocks in at an even bigger 13MB. I'm not sure if it's due to my usage of gif files, uncompressed large bitmaps and very high quality MP3 audio. Can anyone point me in the direction of a good tool that can be used to reduce the size of flash movies? If I release a flash version with lower quality images and poorer quality sound, is it okay? --RAMChYLD 6 June 2006 (PDT)
  • KKyuubi: Don't be afraid, file sizes like that are normal for animutations nowadays, don't worry!
  • Alright. I'll see about taking out the project file and making a lower quality flash movie once I have access to my PCs again.--RAMChYLD 6 June 2006 (PDT)
  • RAMChYLD, dont forget to sign your comments in the future. Also, I've noticed gifs make the files high in flash. [When I did Jupiterish Randomness, everything was a gif. So the file was huge. But, I made all the pictures JPEGS, with the exception of sprites, and the file size notably dropped.] --Spoonorca 05:36, 6 June 2006 (PDT)
  • Right, I'll remember that the next time. Thanks. I forgot how large is the sequel tho. Didn't really had time to check (in fact, I don't think I ever did export the sequel to SWF, only as a bloated AVI for postprocessing). I'm guess it would be smaller than the first because the music's shorter and I think there were less sprites used. RAMChYLD 17:12, 6 June 2006 (PDT)
