The original animation was created by prguitarman, and the design of the cat was influenced by his cat Marty, who died in November 2012 from feline infectious peritonitis. The Youtube video, showing the animation of the cat set to music, ranked at #5 on the list of most viewed videos in 2011. As of now, the video has over 186 million views.
