bocccoda So, you want to edit the pages on FanimutationWiki? Follow these simple guidelines:

Animutation pages:

• When creating a new page, use the Basic movie article template (or the simplified Alternate movie article template).
• When adding characters to the Cast section, be sure to include a [[category:(character) Filmography]] link after the character name link.
• If the song lyrics are in Chinese, Japanese, or Korean (or any other language that does not use the Roman alphabet), be sure to provide romanized lyrics.
  • For Japanese lyrics, use Hepburn romanization. Transliterate long vowels based on the actual kana (resist the temptation to use āīūēō); for the katakana 'ー' character (long vowel), simply repeat the vowel used in the previous character (i.e. EE/OO rather than EI/OU). Words written in katakana (usually loan-words) should be transliterated in all uppercase - for loan-words, you may instead use the spelling of the word in its original language (i.e. transliterate プリーズ as either PURIIZU or PLEASE) in order to improve readability.
  • For Mandarin Chinese lyrics, use Pinyin romanization with accented characters for tone indication.
  • For Cantonese lyrics, use Yale romanization with accented characters for tone indication.
  • For Korean lyrics, use the official South Korean transliteration system.
  • If the song's language is not listed here, mention it in Talk:Editing Guide so a transliteration system can be decided.
  • If possible, include the original, untransliterated lyrics in a 3rd column.
• In the External Links section, include a link to the animutation in question using the format [http://website/file.swf (Animutation Title)] on [[Website]]
  • If the animutation is available on Newgrounds or the Animutation Portal, simply specify their ID numbers within the animutation infobox template in the newgrounds and aniport parameters, respectively.
  • If the animutation is hosted on the author's personal website, link to the author's page using the format [http://website/file.swf (Animutation Title)] on [[(Author)]]'s site

Author Pages:

• When creating a page for an Animutation author, place {{authorfooter}} at the bottom of the page. This will include a link to the author's Animutation List page.
• Be sure to create the author's Animutation List page, containing {{authorcat|(Author Page)}}.

Character/Prop pages:

• When creating a page for a Character, place {{characterfooter}} at the bottom of the page. This will include a link to the character's Filmography page.
• Be sure to create the character's Filmography page, containing {{filmography|(Character Page)}}.
• When creating a page for a Prop, follow the above instructions but instead use {{propfooter}} and {{propfilmography|(Prop Page)}}.

Pages in general:

• If a page contains little or no data, place {{stub}} at the top of the page.
• If the page is mostly complete but is missing data in several sections, place {{incomplete}} at the top of the page.
• Be sure to Preview your changes, so as to avoid repeatedly editing the same page over and over to fix minor errors.
