Newgrounds is a web animation community focused around the Portal, a free Flash movie/game hosting service. The catch is that when you submit a movie, the members of Newgrounds get to rate it on a scale of 0 to 5, and if it is lower than a certain score after a certain number of votes, your movie is deleted forever, and the only way for it to still be on the internet is if it is preserved outside NG. An example of a flash like Monster Deer, an animutation which was blammed on Newgrounds.
