The music is the 11th ending theme to the Pokemon Anime.
The song was also used in Fun With Pop Culture and Team Rocket's Journey Through Silicon Valley.
Trivia
- The buttons at the start and the end of the movie use the "Unown" characters which were first introduced in Pokemon Gold and Silver.
- The four shots of Banjo at the start of the movie all have Banjo's head grafted onto Jonny Bravo's body.
- The ship that Diddy and Dixie dance on near the start of the movie is the S.S. Minnow. This is the name of the ship from Gilligan's Island.
- "No zoup for you!" is an obvious reference to the "Soup Nazi" episode of Seinfeld. Additionally, Donkey Kong's Jungle Vine, the site where this movie originated from, has playfully suggested numerous times that Wario and Waluigi are Nazis, much to the anger of some Nintendo fans. (This is why they are both behind badly-drawn podiums.)
- "Zeis is nein stacken blochen!" is an obscure reference to Late Night With Conan O'Brien.
- "Your chickens are angering my teapot!" is an extremely obscure reference from the creator. A friend of his would type this (amongst other gibberish) in random chatrooms, confounding them.
- The scene with Shigeru Miyamoto turning into the Grim Reaper and attacking the Dinosaur Planet logo is based on the suggestion that Rare was forced to change Dinosaur Planet into Star Fox Adventures after Miyamoto made a vague comment along the lines of "maybe we should turn it into a Star Fox game instead!".
- "Awright Tosh, what can I do you for? Ha ha." is the catch phrase of the Diamond Geezer, a robot who will refill your ammo and health in Jet Force Gemini.
- "Vote Liberal!" is a catch phrase taken from the end of a feature on Donkey Kong's Jungle Vine called Mr. T vs. Donkey Kong. Four scenes from this feature can also be seen near the end of the movie.
- The scene with Wizpig jumping out of a bush and getting run over by a badly drawn bus is due to an in-joke with the site creators. At the end of Diddy Kong Racing, "To Be Continued..." is displayed. The creators joke that they'd love to see Wizpig just pop out from behind a bush, shout out "HOO-HAH!" and then get run over by a bus in another Rare game so that they could get some closure. (The game that was most likely to give proper closure, Donkey Kong Racing, was cancelled when Rare moved to Microsoft.)
- "Godzilla loved me real good!" is actually a substitute phrase. The text was originally going to be "My eyes! The goggles, they do nothing!", as Ranier Wolfcastle says in The Simpsons. However, it was decided the scene would be funnier to go with something completely random instead.
- When Gregg uses lightning to destroy planet Earth, the Earth disappears with a "POW". This is a nod to the arcade classic Bubble Bobble.
- The Donkey Kong and Diddy Kong that slide on-screen and say "LET'S HAV A PICNIC!" are from the Donkey Kong Country TV shows. This series is extremely disliked by the Donkey Kong's Jungle Vine community, who refuse to refer to it by its actual name, instead preferring to call it "Lord Harry", due to the show's utter ignorance for the DKC series' continuity. The DKJV community generally feels that the entire series can be summed up as "singing songs badly and having picnics".
- A GameCube accompanies DK and Diddy on their picnic as it was often teased for its childish appearance and handle. Here, it is being suggested that it is a picnic basket.
- The shrivelled-up head with the eyeball necklace near the end of the movie is the Navigator Head used in 'The Secret of Monkey Island'.
- The name of this movie is spelled as "Maemuki Roketto-Dan" on its website, yet the in-flash title is "Maemuki Rocketto-Dan", spelled with a C. This is because it was easier for the author to change the name of the movie in the page's HTML than it was to redo the Flash.
