Trivia

• "Gazorninplat" is a reference to an episode of "Garfield and Friends", where Garfield tries to get rid of the goody-two-shoes Buddy Bears by tricking them into looking up information on gazorninplats.
• Richard Fairbrass's gloved arm is from the cover of the 1994 Right Said Fred single "Wonderman." The song contains several references to Sonic the Hedgehog (without mentioning his name), and said character makes an appearance in the music video for the song.
• The "dancing eggplant" that appear in the background at one point are actually from the lesser-known but just as badly-translated ending of "Zero Wing".
• The first frame of the movie has a picture of Meta Knight with a bag of Fritos saying "Give me the Fritos! ...For I am the Frito Bandito!"
