About
Foolala! (properly spelled "Foo-La-La!") is not a true fanimutation because it was not made with Macromedia Flash. Instead, Indogutsu chose to create it using ASCII's RPG Maker 2000 (RM2K) software, which allows the user to control all aspects of producing a role-playing game in the style of the 16-bit (SNES/Genesis) era. Because of RM2K's limitations, Foo-La-La only presents pictures without animating them, making it nothing more than a "slideshow with sound" in Dwedit's words. Still, it might be worth a download because it takes Rip Slyme's 2004 hit "Dandelion" and turns it into an extravaganza of mondegreens and SNES game screenshots.
Foo-La-La is hosted by Gaming Ground Zero, a site dedicated to quality games and resources for RPG Maker 2000. To download, click on the logo image, then "Games" in the left sidebar once you get to the main page, and finally select "Foo-La-La" from the drop-down menu. Like all things made using RM2K, Foo-La-La requires the RM2K Run-Time Package (RTP) in order to run. However, due to legal complications with ASCII, you won't find the link to the RTP on this wiki. Perhaps a Google search will help you find what you're looking for?

Audio Details
- "Dandelion" was released by Rip Slyme as a single in the summer of 2004.
Trivia
- This animutation contains several references to other animutations, especially Elvis Not Included. Can you catch 'em all?
- "Wes" is Wes Borland, guitarist for the American turn-of-the-millennium rap/rock band, Limp Bizkit.
- The "Director: Hiroi Sakai" picture is supposedly a screenshot of the credits sequence from "Pokemon Ruby & Sapphire" for the Nintendo Game Boy Advance. In reality, there is no such a person as Hiroi Sakai; Indogutsu just used that name because it sounded like what Rip Slyme was singing. The actual director of "Pokemon Ruby & Sapphire" is Junichi Masuda, who also acted as an assistant in the game's scenario, programming, and music departments. Indogutsu believes in giving credit where credit is due.
- The fake lyrics in this animutation refer to "Gail" and "Vary," two characters from an RPG Maker 2000 game called "Dragon Warrior IV: Renaissance" which Indogutsu and a few of his friends are currently developing. The game follows the story of the classic NES RPG from Enix, and takes place 500 years after the final boss was defeated by the heroes.
- In the sections of the song without lyrics, Indogutsu filled the space with dozens of screenshots from Super Nintendo games, mostly RPGs. Some should be instantly recognizable (such as the ones from "Earthbound," which is apparently a favorite among animutationists), but others are taken from more obscure games such as "Drakkhen" and "Arcana." There should not be any confusion as to what Indogutsu's favorite kind of video game is.
